I have been interested
in photography since my mother gave me a Kodak Brownie Camera
with the flip up viewfinder when I was 5 years old - remember
those? I graduated to Kodak Instamatic in my teens.
Now with the wonderous
world of photography, I consider myself a collector of Canon
Cameras, as I now own 7 and am constantly adding extras & accessories
to enable me to capture images.
I have won ribbons and
awards on my photos of people, animals, landscapes, weddings,
special occasions, and family shots. It never ceases to amaze
me what can be captured on film.
I am teaching my 5 year
old grandson, who uses an inexpensive camera that I have given
him, who is also my favorite photo subject. We venture out into
the world for just the right shot.
I prefer on site photography
and not studio shots. It's the candid shots that always amaze
me, catching the subjects at just the right moment to confirm
that "A picture is worth a thousand words".
I create 5x7 greeting cards
from my photographs, with the assistance of a local print shop.
I also have a mini-gallery
set up at Missouri River Antiques in Lexington, MO.
Thank you for viewing my gallery.
